Trip Overview

Langtang Valley & Ganja-la pass trekking is a challenging trek in the high altitudes of Nepal. The trip goes through the lush green forest, mountain valleys and viewpoints that offer view of the highest mountains in the world. This region and the trail is also the area of the Tamang and the Bhutia People. The Langtang region is also home to the red Panda and the snow leopard. The vegetation in the area includes oak, birch, pine and rhododendron. Most of the people in the region are Buddhist so the Tibetan Buddhist culture is at its best in the Langtang region. The Kyangjin Gompa at around 3800 m is one of the major highlights of this trip besides the Ganja la. The trek also offers view of the Ganchenpo 6,387m, Dorje Lakpa 6,990 m, Pemthang Karpu Ri 6,830m, Langtang Lirung 7,245 m and the 14th highest peak Mt. Shishapangma 8,046 m.
